Can I do this on my own Taylor??
"What if I don't live in the Midwest? What if I don't enjoy these lists of activities? What if I have already done all of these activities?" Don't worry, that is not a problem at all. I'll teach you some key tips to get on track with finding fun adventures to do that don't all have to be Midwest related.
At first you may seem frustrated getting started and unsure what to even search for to find things to do that are reasonable in budget and interesting to you as well. The internet and social media were the main two ways I was able to discover new interests around me to keep me busy in the summer.
Using the internet can be annoying, especially when the answers you want to pop up don't come up when searching for something. That's why, if I couldn't find all my answers there, I resorted to doing some digging for information on social media pages, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
You may ask yourself, "With so many choices of things to do, how do you narrow it down?" Let's start with the internet. A quick google search with keywords such as; budget-friendly, activities for young adults and teens, and of course Midwest are all ways to get started.
Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook are all another easy way to do a quick or extensive search. By using these social media's search bar with those keywords that we just mentioned, you can find additional information from influencers. Through the advice of influencers and local people in your community, you can get hands on ideas as well as some amazing pictures of places that they may have actually visited.
The fun thing about social media is that you can connect personally with influencers or people in your community by sending them a text through that social media asking them any questions or concerns you may have about the suggestions they post on their page. In the end, the search doesn't have to be thought of as work, it can actually be pretty fun. :)
