Interview from a life long Midwesterner
Hey guys!! Today we are going to get one on one, super personal. I'm going to interview my mom on her take on fun summer activities. But first here is a little background information on the queen herself, my mom. She grew up in the Midwest and has raised me and my two sisters in the Midwest as well. She has traveled the United States and enjoys keeping her vacations pretty local to the Midwest.
Me: Can you give us some ideas on your favorite spots to visit in the Midwest?
Mom: I have enjoyed trips to Wisconsin, Michigan, and of course within the state of Illinois.
Me: Can you give us some more details on these trips?
Mom: Well, specifically in Wisconsin I like to travel to Door County and Lake Geneva. In Michigan, Silver Lake is one of my favorites as well as the upper peninsula in Michigan. In Illinois, I love to travel to Chicago, and the local beaches in and around Evanston and Glencoe.
Me: Wow it sure looks like you like to spend time by the water.
Mom: Haha yea I do! There are so many things to do near bodies on water. Finding a good restaurant near the water or renting a boat was always a favorite of mine.
Me: Speaking of specific activities, what else do you like to do when you travel to those areas?
Mom: Well, I also enjoy going on hikes, shopping the local merchants, and antiquing. I also like to search for unique foods, especially sweet treats like candy and ice cream.
Me: Well, thanks for taking the time to let us in on some ideas of where to go and what to do in the Midwest!
Mom: Sure thing! Now go clean your room. ;)
Me: Haha we'll see. ;)
